herp derp
comic
EDIT: As I posted this comic, in my sleep-deprived stupor I forgot to mention that it was co-written by Robert Montoya. Herp derp indeed.
That’s right: stick figures making calculus jokes. In your face, Randall Munroe.
I think the reason that so many webcartoonists end up posting comic strip notes like “herp derp COMIC” is that they have spent up all their clever on the comic. Leastways that’s what I’m hoping.
Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaames
Oh hey! SC reader Matt has created another fan comic.

Sam Fuhrman running from the mech is a nice touch.
My favorite part about these Reader Mailbags is the opportunity to make Comic Me be a jerk.
Anyway, on a less belligerent note, today’s Sketchy Activity Daily will be up later this evening in the requisite album at the Facebook group.
Truly, Independent Music James is the voice of reason in our culture of insanity.
New comic strip posting tomorrow, as is our custom. And don’t forget: you can see the whole collection of Sketchy Activity Dailies in the SC Facebook Photo Album.
CALLBACKS: And You Can’t Stop Me, An Excuse to Draw a Mech
This strip originated with a series of twitter posts. First of all, Luke Surl (who posts his own comics at LukeSurl.com) retweeted a tweet of Ryan North’s: “Comic will be delayed until I am no longer in a hot air balloon” with Luke’s own commentary: “Best non-updating excuse ever.” Then I retweeted Luke’s retweet, and my friend Dwight “The K is Not Silent” Knoll responded to my retweet with “we want hotairbaloon comix!” Apparently Dwight is the voice of the internet.
So, I have given you what you want, o people of the internet. If you want to follow me on Twitter and/or send tweets to me, that is a thing I can give you too.
Do you know about the Sketchy Activity Daily?
This is a new project: Sketchy Activity Daily. For fifteen minutes every weekday, I will draw something and post it up on the internets–specifically, those internets which are related to Sketch Comedy. The drawing will probably be silly. (I will readily admit that today’s drawing, a freehand brush-pen sketch of my supervisor’s car, is not especially silly.)
On non-comic-update days, here at the Sketch Comedy site, I’ll be posting the SAD as a way of providing you daily content (you may find the RSS feed useful for keeping up). You can get even more SADs Monday through Thursday at Sketch Comedy’s Facebook page, and Friday’s Sketch Activity Daily will be a Subscribers’ Edition exclusive.
I’m looking forward to providing SC fans of all stripes with some bonus daily content. Enjoy the SADs, and look forward to a new SC comic posting at midnight (EST) tonight!
CALLBACKS: Vocaloid: an Introduction, Autotune the Future
If you don’t recognize the anime lady with the necktie and pigtails in the last panel, check the callback link above, “Vocaloid: an Introduction.” It’s been awhile since we saw Hatsune Miku, so I wouldn’t be surprised if your memory may need some jogging.
Can’t get enough of the new friend Teri? There’s an exclusive double-size strip featuring her and Howard in the Subscribers’ Edition!
