Ya know I didn’t really get what James was talkin aboot, but back when I was reading Harry Potter I was always thinking “Why didn’t these guys evolve?”. I could’ve imagined some of the using mechanical wands that had replacable cores(ya know the whole Phoenix feather and such inside the wands).
I had so many sick fantasies about these. XD
I don’t even know if James gets what he’s talking about.
Have you ever heard of the fanfic “Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality?” The basic premise is that Harry’s adoptive dad was a scientist and raised him with a passion for science. As a result, when Harry goes to Hogwarts, he turns the entire school upside down by applying the scientific method to magic and conducting all sorts of experimental inquiries into things wizards have taken for granted. It’s an extremely amusing fic, and you can find it simply by googling “Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality.”
Argh, confound these alt-texts, they drive me to check on long-defunct webcomics. I now unfortunately know that your “read” was to be pronounced “red…”
