CALLBACKS: Hot Tub Musical Criticism Machine, Independent Music James
In case you missed it Monday, my review of Wreck-It Ralph is now up in the Blog. The Blog can be viewed from the main page–be sure to check below the comic from time to time, or just follow the RSS Feed!
Woo, first comment. Jackson, you love these hot tub strips don’t you?
Eh, I’ve been pretty busy lately. Sometimes a guy just needs a pre-drawn background.
…he said as he changed the camera angle in the second panel, thereby requiring him to re-draw the background.
On a side note, I love how most strips are black and white, reminds me of the old newspaper strips.
Commenter FN demands that the comics be in color! I’m the self-appointed spokesperson for FN.
Thanks, Michael. Newspaper comics have been a huge influence on me. I grew up on Calvin and Hobbes, and I’m pretty sure I read the daily comics every single day of high school.
My newspaper still has black and white comics. Except on Sundays.
Nice second panel. And Independent Voter James is spot on with this one. Did I say voter? I mean music.
To heck with politics, let’s wait for Jackson to make more strips!
The thing that astounds me about IMJ is that not only does he complain about popular music, he repeats his complaints about it, and a commenter repeats his previous complaint about IMJ’s complaints!

“He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster, and when you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.”
Staring Contest!
I like how James’s right eye is bigger than his left one in the second panel.
Closer to the point of view. Also…`
I’m back…
