CALLBACKS: Twilight Sparkle Gets Crunchy With The Numbers, Situation Comedy

Deliberately Antagonistic Twilight Sparkle is funny to me. I may have to parody (and fairly use!) MLP more often.

I wonder when Season 4 starts.

  1. Oh no, Twilight Sparkle, Twilight with sparkly vampires… Boy I hope it’s a coincidence.

    1. It probably is. According to my internet research, Lauren Faust based Twilight Sparkle on two earlier ponies, Twilight (G1/1983) and Twilight Twinkle (G3/2005), both of which predate the Twilight saga. And I’m guessing that Stephenie Meyer didn’t draw any inspiration for her teen vampire romance novel from a toy line of plastic pastel ponies, so we’re safe…for now.

        1. Dwight, the singular is “brony,” the plural is “bronies.” I wouldn’t expect you to know this, which is why I am informing you now.

And just in case you’ve been misspelling “pony” all this time as well, the singular is “pony” and the plural is “ponies.” Not “ponis.”

    1. Wet paper bag! That’s an even easier thing out of which to write one’s way! See, if I had an editor, we might have come up with that. Alas, such is the plight of the independent webcartoonist.

    Ditto!

Also, is that a calculator she’s got, or a shopping basket?

      1. Ah, it does look like a calculator! I think you should go with it. From here on out, you meant to draw a calculator.
